Original title: 浪速の雀刺 勝負
“A master mahjong player emerges onto a square battlefield where desire and intrigue swirl! A life-or-death showdown!”
Overview
The Kansai Real Estate Association in Osaka. To prevent bidding prices from skyrocketing in auctions for properties contested by rival firms, the member companies had adopted a rather unusual bidding system. And that was… mahjong! The company that won the game would be awarded the contract. Sales Section 3 at Midosuji Real Estate boasted a formidable mahjong player, Ken Ryuji (Kenjiro Nashimoto), who was head and shoulders above the rest. Meanwhile, rival firm Tozaki Buildings enlisted the help of the Oniyama-kai yakuza organisation to send in their strongest mahjong player, Wakai (Shun Suda). With Wakai resorting to every dirty trick in the book to win, Midosuji Real Estate finds itself in a desperate situation!
