Cábula
Overview
Set within an intimate social circle, Cábula follows a group of friends whose long-standing bond is disrupted when a hidden pact—referred to as a “cábula,” or secret agreement—resurfaces. Over the course of a tense gathering, buried resentments, loyalties, and unspoken desires gradually come to light. As conversations drift between humor, nostalgia, and confrontation, the characters must face the consequences of choices made years earlier. Through quiet observation and shifting perspectives, the film explores the fragile dynamics of friendship, memory, and the subtle ways people negotiate truth, guilt, and affection within close-knit communities.
