Bridges
Overview
The film takes up the historical circumstances of the Second World War and focuses on the pilot of an American bomber, Captain Saul Bridges. Shortly before the end of the war, he is saved from certain death by the little mute Lukas and his 16-year-old sister, who hide and look after him. Three years later, when Berlin is supplied via airlift by the legendary raisin bombers, Bridges returns as the pilot of one of these to the scene that he himself had to bomb during the war and where the orphaned siblings saved his life. They are now in danger themselves, as they are involved in criminal black market activities and are being threatened by a former SS henchman. The beginning of a dangerous game.
